British pilgrims are responsible for keeping their passports and travel documents safe. As a precaution, British pilgrims should take photocopies of their passports and travel documents, carrying a copy with them and leaving a copy with family and friends. If British pilgrims lose their passports during Hajj, they can apply for an Emergency Travel Document to return to the UK for £125.

To receive their Hajj package entitlement, British pilgrims should stay with their tour guide and group throughout the Hajj.

Pilgrims should not attempt to perform Hajj if they do not have a Hajj package or visa booked through the official Nusuk online portal. This could result in a heavy fine and being prevent from entering Saudi Arabia for Ten Years.

Pilgrims must only stay in Saudi Arabia for the time period stipulated on their Hajj visa, otherwise they could be subject to a heavy fine and imprisonment of up to six months.

British pilgrims should check the health requirements and take precautionary steps as necessary, such as vaccinations and preparing for the heat. They should visit https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/factsheet/19/hajj-and-umrah for further information. If British pilgrims require medication, they should check they have a prescription and adequate quantities for the duration of their trip.

The UK Mission in Saudi Arabia wishes all pilgrims a blessed Hajj.
